Power Point with Office 2017
Introduction: Our teacher assigned a task to make power point presentation on ‘Obesity’. This artifact is selected to denote the technology competency as the teacher required students to make attractive slides by using advanced features of power point. I developed my technological skills after doing this assignment.
Reflection: I learnt to make animated slides while using power point and I also added my voice in this presentation. I will increase my speed to make animated slides if I repeat this assignment. I will suggest other students to increase their technological competence by using advanced tools of power point.
Word Press
Introduction: I was assigned to create a blog on website ‘Word Press’. The teacher gave us authority to select a topic of own interest and choice. The artifact is selected to denote the competency of technology as students had to set up account on word press and write blogs by using templates. Students could also publish and share their blogs with friends and receive their feedback for improvement. My skills of technology and knowhow with internet helped me in doing this assignment.
Reflection: I learnt to create blogs by registering with word press and choosing a domain name of my choice. This assignment increased my technological competence and I learnt the process to make money with blogging. If I repeat this task, I will write a blog on entertainment or sports to gain maximum views on my blog. I will suggest other students to write blogs by selecting different themes as it will enhance the outlook of their blogs.
Inventory Control Accounts
Introduction: This assignment was assigned to me during my course of technology. This assignment required us to make Excel sheet to record the inventory control of an organization under the different methods of recording inventory. I recorded the inventory with the use of various methods and wrote their impacts afterwards. This assignment utilized my skills of technology, communication and critical analysis.
Reflection: With the help of this assignment, my MS Excel learning got enhanced as I only knew the basic command of it before the assignment. I also got to learn a number of mathematical formulas that can be put in the MS Excel. If I repeat this assignment, I would try to use and learn more formulas to be put into the sheet so that my technological sills could be advanced further. I would further suggest the students to do this assignment with an advanced approach so that they can learn more about the MS Excel which would be quite helpful in the professional life ahead.
The Economic Impact of the Electronic Currency
Introduction: This assignment was a report on the economic impact of the electronic currency in which I was required to use the MS Word. The assignment was such that I had to use the different tools of MS Word while doing it. I also had to carry out a massive research on the topic. This assignment used my skills of reading and written communication, research, critical evaluation and technology.
Reflection: With the help of this assignment, I learnt the importance of working on MS Word and how user friendly it is. I learnt the command of MS Word and got to realize that MS Word and MS Excel have the commands which are more or less the same. If this assignment has to eb repeated, I would try some new functions of the MS Word therein. I would further recommend the students to do similar assignments with an approach that facilitate their learning and competence of advance technology.
