Introduction: My teacher assigned an individual assignment to write an essay on ‘Personal Factors Affecting Business Negotiations’. This artifact is selected to denote the competency of professionalism as negotiations play an important role in conducting daily business activities and a person must be highly professional to deal/negotiate with other parties. This task improved my professionalism as I was able to analyze my personal traits on negotiations and I learnt to adapt a negotiating style in accordance to the need of situation.
Reflection: This assignment taught me that maintaining professionalism is negotiation process is crucial in attaining a mutually satisfied agreement. I learnt that a person is considered professional negotiator only if he/she maintains a soft tone throughout the negotiation process and avoid conflicts at all costs. I will include the importance of self-presentation and dressing if I repeat this assignment. I will suggest other students to analyze their personal negotiating traits while doing this assignment to enhance their professionalism in future career.
Presentation on ‘Work Ethics’
Introduction: I was assigned by teacher to make a power point presentation on ‘work ethics’. This artifact is selected to denote the competency of professionalism as work ethics indicates high values of people during job. This assignment enabled me to identify the importance of work ethics during job including good conduct, respecting others, punctuality and good hygiene. My research skills and awareness with technology helped me in completing this assignment.
Reflection: This assignment taught me the importance of work ethics in maintaining professional behaviors at job. I learnt that work ethics require person to be punctual, well organized, well dressed, collaborative and accountable for his actions. If I repeat this task, I will highlight some other work ethics including phone etiquettes and demeanor. I will suggest other students to research and learn work ethics with full concentration so that they could get benefit from it in professional life.
The Importance of Diversity in Businesses
Introduction: This assigned was given to me by the instructor in my course of professionalism. This assignment was a part of professionalism competency because it is linked with values to be considered while working in an organization. While doing this assignment, I read articles on the topic which utilized my skills of critical thinking. Further, my written communication skills and the technological knowledge also helped my in completing my assignment.
Reflection: This assignment helped me to learn the professional behaviors to be adopted within the workplace. I also learnt how the references are made to the sources from which the important information is extracted. If this assignment is given to me again, I would include a number of real-life examples of professionalism required to be shown at the workplace. Further, the students who might undertake such assignments are advised to make thorough research as it will enhance their professional knowledge and their competency of professionalism would be enhanced.

Introduction: This assignment was assigned to me by the instructor when I was pursuing my course of professionalism. In this assignment, I briefly introduced the company along with the description of the challenges and opportunities it has to offer and my desired career path in the company. This assignment utilized my skills of professionalism, communication, research and critical analysis.
Reflection: With the help of this assignment, I learnt about the professional l opportunities that the company may offer along with the changes that could be faced by a potential employee of the company. I also learnt about the expected behavior from the workers to be shown in the workplace. If this assignment is repeated, I would add a section of professional code of conduct of the company in it. Students are advised to get a deep insight into the topic of their assignment so that they can learn the professionalism expected from them.
